Rev. Stanley McClamb and Greater Felton Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Apex, NC
Rev. McClamb was born on February 16, 1956 to James and Louise McClamb, in Chatham county. He is a 1974 graduate of Northwood High School in Pittsboro. In 1979 he graduated from Shaw University with a BA in Philosophy and Religion. He enrolled in Fayetteville Technical Institute in 2009 to pursue a degree in Mortuary Science and is now a licensed Funeral Director with Albright Funeral Services in Apex. He received his Doctorate in Theology from Bethel Bible College in 2010.
Several years ago, he had a drama group called LIFE. They performed several plays that Rev. McClamb wrote. He is a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as choir member and director, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Advisor, and other capacities. He served as chaplain’s assistant for the prison in Lillington while in college. He was employed as a Housing Manager for the Durham Housing Authority for 25 years before leaving in 2005. He has served as pastor, and shepherd for the Greater Felton Grove Missionary Baptist Church for the last 25 years. Under his pastoralship, the church was able to do several renovations on the church on Highway 55. The Lord continued to bless and the church was able to purchase land on Stephenson Road and build a new sanctuary. Rev. Dr. Stanley McClamb enjoys traveling, and he has a passion for the children of his church.
